What is a SafeCode™?
A SafeCode™ is a smart QR code tag that you attach to your valuable items like phones, laptops, luggage, keys, and more. When someone finds your lost item and scans the QR code, they can instantly contact you without seeing your personal information. It's a secure way to get your lost items back.
How does it work?
It's simple:
- Get SafeCodes™ - Order digital or laminated tags
- Attach them - Put SafeCodes™ on your phone, laptop, luggage, etc.
- Relax - If someone finds your item, they scan the code and you're notified instantly via SMS and email
Do finders need to download an app?
No! That's one of the best things about SafeCodes™. The finder simply scans the QR code with their phone's camera (built into iPhone and Android), and a web page opens immediately. No app download required - making it much more likely someone will actually contact you.
Is my personal information safe?
Absolutely. When someone scans your SafeCode™, they only see your first name and the reward amount. They never see your phone number, email, or address. All communication goes through our secure system, so your privacy is always protected.
How long does my SafeCode™ stay active?
Each SafeCode™ is active for 3 years from the date of purchase. We'll send you a reminder email before it expires so you can renew if needed. This also gives you a chance to update your contact information or replace worn tags.

What does the reward amount mean?
The reward amount you set during checkout is displayed when someone scans your SafeCode™. It's an incentive for finders to return your item. You choose the amount ($25, $50, $100, or custom) and it's shown as "Reward offered up to $X". The actual reward exchange is between you and the finder - we just display the amount to encourage returns.

Where's the best place to put a SafeCode™ on my phone?
We recommend placing it inside your phone case (between the case and phone back) or on the back of the case itself. The mini size is perfect for phones. Make sure the QR code is visible and scannable - the finder needs to be able to access it easily.
What if my item is lost but the QR code is damaged?
QR codes are quite resilient and can still scan even with minor damage. However, if your laminated SafeCode™ becomes too worn or damaged, you can print a new one (if you have the digital version) or contact us for a replacement. This is one reason we recommend the 3-year renewal cycle.
